Video Capture/Playback:  

We captured from an old JVC camcorder using an USB video transfer connector. The time required to capture our 14 minute video was exactly 14 minutes This 1:1 ratio is standard when pulling from DV tape.

This was especially helpful editing standard definition video, and we can only imagine its beneficial effects on editing HD video, which is much more resource intensive.

Corel implemented NVIDIA CUDA and GPU acceleration and Intel Core i7 optimization to ensure everything involving this program ran quicker and smoother.

Ease of Use:  

Everything is easy when it comes to figuring out how to use Corel VideoStudio.  Users have the choice of starting VideoStudio Express 2010 to make the editing process much shorter or VideoStudio Pro X3 to get into the advanced part of the process.  You can also get to the DV-to-DVD wizard to get digital video from you camcorder to a DVD.  DVD Factory Pro 2010 helps for burning and authoring to BD, HD or SD or transcoding to file or device.

Corel changed the user interface for this program to ensure it never is an obstacle in the process.  Common video-editing tools are always accessible and the less popular tools are just a click away.  This streamlined interface simplifies the video editing workflow.

The media management tool allows users to search for all of their media files from one location.  It sorts files by type and offers tools to view and categorize content.
