I have been using Studio since Studo 8 was released, about 6 years or so ago. Pinnacle support is very difficult and frustrating to deal with. Persistance will eventually get you what you need unless you are asking for support on a previous version of Studio. I am currently using Studio 9 and like it fine, but I had to re-load my WinXP OS and, therefore, re-load Studio. I lost some files in the process, including the file containing my activation keys. Pinnacle now has Studio 12 on the market and they DO NOT support any prior versions of Studio. I cannot recover some of the add-ons I paid for to use with Studio 9 and it's only been since 2005 that I bought the "PLUS" (more expensive) version of Studio 9. They want you to spend more on the most recent version of their product. No dice! If I had a lot of videos to edit, I'd seriously consider using another product.

Publisher: Pinnacle

Version: 12 Plus

Pros: Program features gives the user the flexibility they need to create whatever kind of project they want.

Cons: Large feature set increases the amount of time needed to learn the program.

The Verdict: If the program streamlined its feature set, it would give the higher-ranked programs in this list a run for their money.
